Running title reads: The Cyprian academy.
"Gripus and Hegio, or The passionate lovers" has divisional title on first p. 16. "The second booke of the Cyprian academy" (caption title) has separate pagination and register. Within this series, "Deorum dona" has separate dated title page with imprint "London, printed for I:H. T:H. T:I. 1647".
A variant of the 1647 edition.
Copy filmed at UMI microfilm Early English Books 1641-1700 reel 2302 lacks 3 preliminary leaves which consist of: engraved title page and facing portrait, "To the ladies and gentlewomen of England" and To the supereminent paragon of art".
