Note Canon law of the ecclesiastical province of Canterbury as collected and abridged in 1433 by William Lyndwood. Regarded by some authorities as law of the Church of England. The notes are abridged by Robert Sharrock. With the commentaries of John Acton.
"Constitutiones legatinae regionis Anglicanæ D. Othonis, et D. Othoboni, ..", the canons of the plenary councils of the British Isles held in 1237 and 1268, has separate pagination, register, and title page dated 1663.
A re-issue of the 1664 Oxford edition described in Madan, with an added title page to account for the inclusion of the two Constitutions of the cardinal Legates, preceded by the frontispiece--an engraving of the Sheldon coat of arms. The original title page is retained following the added leaves. Madan does not describe this issue, only noting that many copies of the original issue lack the plate. Cf. Madan III, 2269-70.
