Title The falles of unfortunate princes : Being a true chronicle historie of the untimely death of such princes and men of note, as haue happened since the first entrance of brute into this iland, vntill this our latter age. Whereunto is added the famous life and death of Queene Elizabeth, with a declaration of all the warres, battels and sea-fights, during her raigne: wherein at large is described the battell of 88. with the particular seruice of all such ships, and men of note in that action.

The first part is by John Higgins, who signs the dedication; the second (which here follows the first without break) by Thomas Blenerhasset; the third by William Baldwin and others; and "A winter nights vision" and "Englands Eliza" by Richard Niccols, who also edited the whole.

The third part is a continuation of John Lydgate's "The fall of princes", which is a translation of Giovanni Boccaccio's "De casibus illustrium virorum".
"The variable fortune and vnhappie falles of such princes as hath happened since the Conquest" (i.e. part 3), "A vvinter nights vision", and "Englands Eliza" have separate title pages dated 1609, 1610 and 1610, respectively; pagination and register are continuous.
