Note Illustrated with engravings done for Sir Robert Peake on Gospel subjects, copied from engravings by Boëce van Bolswert (STC 2nd ed. 19518.5). Peake's name from imprint on engraving of St. Matthew with the angel (inserted following t.p.); publication date conjectured by STC to be 1637. They are usually bound with Bibles or prayer books of 1637 or later. One is of King David and is evidently intended for the Sternhold and Hopkins metrical Psalms often bound with the Bible. The total number of plates issued has not been determined. See Transact. Cambridge Bib. Soc. 8 (1982), p. 173-185. This edition contains 90 plates.

Item at reel 1975:6b is the N.T. only of STC (2nd ed.) 2329.4, bound and filmed following STC 16408, and preceding STC 2678.4.
