Uniform Title Josippon. English. Abridgments.
Title A compendious and most marueilous historie of the latter tymes of the Iewes common weale : begynnyng where the Bible or scryptures leaue, and contynuyng to the vtter subuertion and last destruction of that countrey and people. Written in Hebrue by Ioseph Ben Gorion, a noble man of the same countrey, who saw the most things hym selfe, and was aucthour and dooer of a great parte of the same. Translated into Englysh by Peter Morwyn, of Magdalen Colledge in Oxforde.

Note A translation of Abraham ben David ibn Daud's abstract, in book 3 of his "Sefer ha-Kabalah", of the anonymous "Josippon" or Yosippon". The latter has been misattributed to a Joseph ben Gorion, usually identified with Flavius Josephus.
Imprint and correct publication date from colophon; title page reads "1575".
With a final colophon leaf.
Folio number 75 repeated twice, numbers 83-84 omitted, 172 repeated, and final leaf misfoliated 357.
