Manuscript notes on blank leaf: 'The Gospel of St Matthew in the Calmuc dialect, translated & printed at the Charge of the British & Foreign Bible Society, was the first book printed in that language. It has proved most a most acceptable present to the Calmucs; & the language of it has been pronounced excellent. 12th. Report of Br. & For. Bib. Soc. 1816 P.22' and 'Gospel of St. Matthew in the Calmuck Language Presented to the Committee of the Hull Auxilliary [sic.] Bible Society by their Hble Sect W Reynalds'. |
