Note Woodcut portraits and arms with letterpress text, in verse from William I onward.
The text for the founding of London (with Brute) mentions "this present yeare .. 1560". Copies differ at the end. The British Library copy has Godet's imprint below Philip and Mary, followed by a narrow strip with portrait of Elizabeth and two 8-line stanzas beginning: "O England nowe .. "; the John Rylands University Library of Manchester copy has the block of Mary cut down and altered on the right, the text reimposed with imprint omitted, followed by a larger portrait of Elizabeth (same as in STC 7588) with five 8-line stanzas beginning: "Succeding this late Princesse .. ".
