Copy cataloged has MS. annotations for the date of the receipt: "7th Decemb. 8" [i.e. 1698]; the name of the water user and the item for which the water rate is charged: "Mr Rich for tank in Chancery Lane"; the amount paid: six pounds sixteen shillings"; the period for which rent is paid: "two" quarters; when due: "Michelmas"; and the name of the collector: "Hen: Ewen"; the amount paid is also recorded to the right of the title. With a further annotation in the lower left corner: "by ye hands of Mrs Groundman".
