The Brynmor Jones Library at the University of Hull is open to the public, with free access to the ground-floor art gallery and café. To use library resources, visitors must register online for a Day Visitor pass, though places are limited and a waiting list may apply.

A Day Visitor pass offers access to physical collections, online resources via library computers (18+), and high-speed guest Wi-Fi, though access may be restricted during exam periods.

Apply as a Day Visitor

  • You will need to show a physical form of photo identification on your visit, clearly showing your date of birth.
  • Day Visitors under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian (including older siblings).
  • Day Visitors can use the library between 09:00-17:30 weekdays and 09:30-17:00 on weekends only. Last admission to the library will be granted 45 minutes before access closes.
  • As a Day Visitor, you will also be asked to confirm that you will abide by the Library RegulationsCode of Conduct and IT Acceptable Use Policy

If you are a student at another University you may be eligible for the SCONUL scheme
