About this database

Box of Broadcasts (BoB) allows you to access a large archive of TV and radio content on demand.

You can:

  • Watch programmes from over 75 channels
  • Search within transcripts to find specific moments
  • Request and record programmes
  • Create clips and playlists to support teaching

BoB has a permanent archive of content from BBC1 London; BBC2; BBC4; ITV London; Channel 4; More4; Channel 5; BBC Radio 4; BBC Radio 4 Extra. Programmes recorded from other channels are also added to the archive.

Access depends on the date of broadcast. Use BoB to order programmes back to July 2007, and TRILT (Television and Radio Index for Teaching and Learning) for programmes prior to July 2007.

There are curated playlists of thematically collected clips, television or radio broadcasts created by academics around specific academic subject areas or modules.
