Papers of Thomas Perronet Thompson relating to Sierra Leone

Thompson was appointed governor of Sierra Leone in 1808, the year after the abolition of the slave trade across the British Empire.

The digitised documents include correspondence and reports relating to Thompson's attempts to enforce the new law, and his later work "A narrative of facts connected with the colony of Sierra Leone".
